Groups happy permit counters to remain open

PETALING JAYA: Business groups are relieved by the Cabinet’s decision to keep Immigration counters open for foreign worker permit renewals, but want a re-look at other “obstacles.”

Officials said company representatives who held yellow cards were no longer allowed to submit permit renewals. They also want a review of the RM38 online renewal fee per worker via MyEG which they described as too expensive.
