Businessman’s house damaged in pre-dawn explosion

BUTTERWORTH: A businessman, 44, and his wife, 42, suffered losses amounting to about RM10,000 when unknown assailants threw explosives, believed to be fireworks, at their double-storey house in Taman Mesra Permai on Wednesday.

Seberang Perai Utara (SPU) police chief ACP Abdul Rahman Ibrahim said during the 2.15am incident the businessman, his wife, three children aged between 12 and 17, and their maid were fast asleep when they were awakened by a loud explosion.
