Anwar saddened by Nik Aziz’s passing


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has described the passing of PAS spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat as the “fading of a twinkling star”. 

Upon learning of the news at Sungai Buloh prison, where he has begun a five-year jail sentence following his sodomy conviction, Anwar said he was extremely saddened by the passing of a man who had a great personal impact on him and his family.
