Nik Aziz: Politicians tweet condolences

PETALING JAYA: Politicians tweeted their condolences to the family of Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat following his death on Thursday night.


Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who was at a function when the news broke said: "Saya sedih mendengar Tok Guru Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat telah pulang ke Rahmatullah. Al-Fatihah” (I’m saddened to hear that Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat has returned to Rahmatullah. Al- Fatihah).

“Just got the news that Datuk Nik Aziz Nik Mat returned to Rahmatullah. I hope his family will be strong in facing this test. My condolences. Al-Fatihah,” said Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

MCA president and Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai tweeted that the country "has lost a highly respected and admired leader."

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng ‏conveyed his condolences to Nik Aziz’s family and also to the members and supporters of PAS.

Biarpun berbeza pendapat namun Allahyarham seorang pemimpin disegani (Though we may have differing opinions, he was a respected leader)," tweeted Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan.
