PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Rakyat leaders are expected to deliberate the future of the alliance following Federal Court's conviction to sentence Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim five years behind bars for sodomy.

DAP national organising secretary Anthony Loke said the emergency meeting would be held after a fundraising dinner for flood victims organised by PAS at MBPJ Civic Centre tonight.

"However, the question on who is taking over (the opposition leader position) can only be decided at a Pakatan leadership council meeting," said the Seremban MP when contacted.

The court on Tuesday upheld the Court of Appeal's March 7, 2014 decision against Anwar that sentenced him to five years' jail.
