KUALA LUMPUR: MCA vice-president Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun has lent her support to Negri Sembilan’s proposal that couples divorce in civil courts first if one spouse wants to become a Muslim.
The Deputy Women, Family and Community Development Minister said the move would prevent one person’s decision from having a negative impact on the non-converting spouse and their children.
