Shop selling liquor near temple shut down

A SHOP selling alcoholic drinks near a temple was shut down by the police during Thaipusam, Tamil Nesan reported.

Perak deputy police chief Deputy Com­missioner Datuk A. Paramasivam said his men quickly shut down the shop in the famous Ipoh Kallu Malai Temple compound following public complaints. Two people from the shop were detained.
