KUALA LUMPUR: At the crack of dawn, the grounds of Batu Caves were already charged with an air of devotional joy and gaiety.
Throngs of devotees and observers had packed the place, many immersed in their spiritual pilgrimage while others were there to absorb the riot of colours and sounds of Thaipusam.
