Appeals Court upholds jail sentence on ex-aide for slander and SMS


PUTRAJAYA: A former political secretary to ex-Terengganu Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh has been jailed three months by the Court of Appeal for slander and sending threatening text messages to three state assemblymen.

Datuk Dr Ahmad Ramzi Mohamad Zubir, 43, committed the SMS offences against then Paka assemblyman Mohd Ariffin Abdullah, Permaisuri assemblyman Abd Halim Jusoh and Ajil assemblyman Datuk Rosol Wahid at E726, Kampung Kubang Parit, between 11.21pm and 11.25pm on April 13, 2009.
