PUTRAJAYA: The implementation of the BioMedical and eVDR modules in the Foreign Workers Centralised Management System for Visa with Reference (VDR) applications, which started on Jan 15, has been postponed.

The Immigration Department in a statement on Friday said the postponement was to allow the department and the Home Ministry to evaluate and fine-tune policies concerning the system.

"It is also to review feedback from the public, notably employers," the statement said.

It added that with the deferment of the system, VDR applications at Immigration counters were reopened.

The department reminded that all counter transactions must run smoothly and that applications must be made by the employers themselves or authorised representatives only. - Bernama
