Chicken smuggling bid foiled

ALOR SETAR: An attempt to smuggle 15 tonnes of frozen boneless chicken into the country was foiled at the Bukit Kayu Hitam checkpoint.

State Customs director Abdul Latif Abdul Kadir said the items were seized following an inspection on a container at about 10.30pm last Wednesday.
