BANTING: The body of a woman wearing a green-coloured sari was found floating in a river at the Olak Lempit industrial park here.

Kuala Langat OCPD Supt Azman Abdul Razak said an auxiliary policeman at a factory informed the police of the body at about 9.30am Saturday.

“The body was clad in green sari and shorts. Initial investigations revealed slash wounds on the left side of the face.

"The woman is believed to be in her 40s and police are looking at her identity. We are probing the case for murder," he said.

Those with reports of a missing family member should contact the police.
