More needs to be done for SAR operation, says Liow


KUALA LUMPUR: There is still more that needs to be done in the search and rescue (SAR) operation of the stricken Indonesia AirAsia flight QZ8501, says Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.

He said the Malaysian rescue team helped to scour 11,400sq nautical miles (39,150sq km) of sea on Monday and it covered an additional 32,400sq nautical miles (83,916sq km) the next day when the first traces of debris were found.
