Traffic flow smooth on highways ahead of Christmas holiday

KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic flow along the North-South (PLUS) Expressway heading to the federal capital was smooth as at 9am Tuesday.

A spokesman for the traffic control centre of Expressways Sdn Bhd said there were no reported cases of any traffic congestion on the expressway.

"Traffic flow has been smooth and under control along the PLUS Expressway, Elite Highway, Malaysia-Singapore Second Link, Butterworth-Kulim Expressway,  Seremban-Port Dickson Highway and the Penang Bridge," the spokesman said.

Meanwhile, PLUS has issued a proposed timetable on its Twitter page for road users intending to travel on the PLUS Expressway in conjunction with the Christmas and New Year holidays.

A Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) spokesman said overall, traffic flow was smooth along the tolled highways in the Klang Valley, KL-Karak Highway, East Coast Expressway and the Penang Bridge in both directions.
