THE working committee meeting at the MIC headquarters on Thursday descended into chaos with several hundred youths spewing profanities, blocking entrances of meeting halls and heckling, pushing and pulling leaders as they entered to attend a crucial meeting.
The meeting to decide on a directive from the Registrar of Societies (RoS) to hold a fresh election within 90 days was crucial for the MIC as the RoS had warned that failing that, it faced de-registration.
