KUALA LUMPUR: Social media should be used as an effective medium by moderates to engage and temper extreme views, said Gabungan Bertindak Malaysia (GBM) chairman Tan Yew Sing.
He said extremism was the common enemy irrespective of race or religion, adding: “It is for us on the social media to stand up and speak out against any form of extremism, be it in the Chinese or Malay (Bahasa Malaysia) medium.”
