Shortage looms: About 100,000 foreign workers who were registered under a 6P amnesty programme are all scheduled to be sent back to their countries from January.

KUALA LUMPUR: The construction industry will be crippled if the Government proceeds to despatch back about 100,000 foreign workers who were registered under a 6P amnesty programme.

The workers are among over 500,000 foreigners registered under the programme since October 2011 who are all scheduled to be sent back to their countries from January.
