PETALING JAYA: Bukit Aman Special Branch deputy director Deputy Comm Datuk Zamri Yahaya will be the new Kedah CPO with the rank of Senior Deputy Comm.
In a press release issued yesterday, the federal police also announced the promotion and transfers of 12 senior officers.
Former Negri Sembilan CPO DCP Datuk Osman Salleh will be the new Perak CPO with the rank of SDCP.
Among those promoted are Federal Internal Security and Public Order (community policing) deputy director Datuk Amer Awal (pic) who will now hold the rank of Deputy Comm.
DCP Amer is among the senior officers promoted and transferred to other states and departments.
Former Perak Management Division chief SAC Datuk Azman Yusof will now assume his post as the new Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department (General Operations Force) deputy director, with the rank of DCP.
Former Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order (Special Operations Command) deputy director SAC Datuk Jaafar Mohd Yusof will be assuming his post as the new Negri Sembilan CPO and will now hold the rank of DCP.
Promoted to the deputy directorship of the Bukit Aman Special Branch E1(M), is former Bukit Aman SAC Datuk Mohd Sofian Md Makinuddin. He now holds the rank of DCP.
Former Sabah Special Branch chief Datuk Awang Sahari M Nadzeer now holds the rank of DCP and will assume his new post as the new Bukit Aman Narcotics CID (forfeiture of property/legal/custody) deputy director.
Two senior officers with the rank of ACP have also been promoted and will now hold the rank of Senior Asst Comm.
They are SAC Arjunaidi Mohamed and SAC Khairi Ahrasa.
Meanwhile, three senior officers have been promoted to ACP. They are ACP Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri, ACP Amir Rasid Derani and ACP Tan Beng Yeow.
