KUALA LUMPUR: Rela, the people’s volunteer corps, will not recognise datukships and honorary titles conferred on its officers by the provincial Naning Customary Board in Malacca or any dubious awards received at investiture ceremonies abroad.
MCA Public Service and Complaints Department chairman Datuk Seri Michael Chong, who is Rela honorary deputy commissioner, said he was informed about this by Rela director-general Lukeman Saaid.
