KUALA LUMPUR: Sisters in Islam (SIS) was given the green light by the High Court here for a judicial review on a gazetted fatwa (edict) in Selangor that declared the Muslim women’s rights group as deviating from Islam.
Justice Asmabi Mohamad ruled that SIS had proven that their application was not frivolous, and its arguments aught to be heard in full.
