ZAMBOANGA CITY: Philippine government troops on Saturday rescued a Swiss national abducted by Abu Sayyaf militants more than two years ago, Xinhua news agency reported.
Lorenzo Vinceguerre, 49, is one of two European bird watchers held for over two years by Abu Sayyaf militants in Sulu province in southern Philippines.
