BEIJING: If the United Chinese School of Committees Association of Malaysia (Dong Zong) wants the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) to be recognised, it must follow the national policy and meet the conditions of the Education Ministry, said Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

The Deputy Prime Minister said education played a role in nation-building and unity but there were elements in UEC that were not consonant with these.
