JITRA: The tide is high but 24-year-old teacher Wan Nur Amira Wan Othman is determined to hold on to her new husband Mohammad Faizol Asyraf.

The couple had wanted to hold their wedding reception at the bride’s house in Kampung Kubang Betong, Changlun, but rising waters forced them to a nearby hall beside a flood relief centre instead.
