Taxi driver fined RM1,000 for slapping woman


The 26-year-old woman suffered injuries to the left and right cheeks due to being slapped and pinched.

KUALA LUMPUR: A taxi driver, who pleaded guilty to slapping a 26-year-old woman until her lip bled three days ago, was fined RM1,000 by a magistrate’s court here.

Magistrate Nur A’Minahtul Mardiah Md Nor also instructed Chong Kim Fah, 48, to be jailed two months if he failed to pay the fine. Chong, who also pinched the woman’s cheek, paid the fine.
