PETALING JAYA: Water-borne diseases may soon be a thing of the past, thanks to an award-winning water filtration system invented by the Malaysian Armed Forces’ health team while on a humanitarian mission in Bamiyan, Afghanistan.

The system, which will soon provide rural areas in Sarawak with access to clean drinking water under the Jiwa Murni outreach programme, was the brainchild of a team consisting of Lt-Kol Dr Mohd Arshil Moideen, Lt-Kol Mohd Adlan Adnan, Syamsul Ariff Supaat and Voon Kok Ping.
