Landslide forces 2,000 out of their homes

Damage caused by the landslide near the Teratai Apartment, Taman Bunga Raya, Bukit Beruntung

KUALA KUBU BARU: About 2,000 people had to be evacuated from their homes after a landslide caused major cracks on the road and soil barriers, just metres away from their apartment block in Bukit Beruntung, near here.

The Fire and Rescue Department deemed the area unsafe and ordered the residents of the Teratai Apartment in Taman Bunga Raya to move out to a nearby temporary shelter.
