Customs intercept RM54mil worth of drugs at KLIA this year

SEPANG: The Customs Department has stopped RM54mil worth of drugs from making their way into the country via the busy KL International Airport (KLIA) here this year.

KLIA Customs director Datuk Chik Omar Chik Lim said the flow of drugs and contraband at the country’s biggest entry and exit point had been curtailed by strict scanning and inspection exercises on passengers.
