One dead, 12 injured in Sungai Petani road accident

SUNGAI PETANI: One person was killed and 12 other people were injured in a road accident involving three vehicles at Jalan Bedong-Sungai Lalang near here Wednesday.

A police spokesman said the accident, which happened at 6.45am, involved a factory van carrying six people - a man and five women, a Proton Saga car driven by a woman and a Kia Spectra car carrying six people.

"The dead person was travelling in the Kia Spectra car," he said when contacted. - Bernama
