MALACCA: The weekend traffic snarl in this historic city is expected to reduce with RM500mil in Federal funds allocated for infrastructure development to ease traffic congestion here.

This was a “rather large” allocation under the Works Ministry for Malacca in Budget 2015, said Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

The funds would go towards building two flyovers – one at the Malacca International Trade Centre interchange in Ayer Keroh and the other at the Tun Ghafar Baba Memorial interchange in Peringgit.
