ALOR SETAR: The Kedah National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK) suggested that cultivators of the 'ketum' plant switch to growing vegetables and cash crops since the government wants to strengthen the food supply chain.
Its director, Mohammad Nazer Mustafa, said Budget 2015 presented by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak yesterday provided a new hope for these farmers as ketum cultivation was considered illegal.
