Ahmad, Alex and Ravi the most popular names in Malaysia


PUTRAJAYA: Nur Fathaniah Tariyah Karimah Farwizah Zahabiyah Sya­hirah binti Airol Anizam is probably the longest name ever registered in Malaysia, but Ahmad, Alex and Ravi remain the most popular names.

National Registration Department (NRD) director-general Datuk Sulai­man Keling said “Ahmad” had been the preferred name for 63,049 people in Malaysia, followed by “Alex” (16,992) and “Ravi” (10,866).
