Liow: Road Safety Dept targeting 50 percent reduction in fatality rates by 2020


BENTONG: The Malaysian Road Safety Department is targeting to half the road fatality rates in 2020 via initiatives under a six -year-plan said Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.

"We hope accident fatalities can be reduced to 5,358 or by 50% from the 10,716 expected in 2020," he said at SMK Bentong, on Tuesday.
