GEORGE TOWN: Police have opened an Enquiry Paper to look into every possible angle, including negligence on its part, over the death of a detainee at the district police headquarters in Bertam here.
Penang police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Wira Abdul Rahim Hanafi said an internal investigation was being carried out although the initial probe suggested that the investigating officer had followed the standard operating procedure during the statement recording session.
