BUTTERWORTH: The article which PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu (popularly known as Mat Sabu) allegedly made remarks on the Bukit Kepong incident, was written based on a video recording and not from being present at the event where he said it, the writer told the Sessions Court on Monday.
Journalist Mohd Asron Mustapha, 32, of Utusan Melayu (M) Bhd said he wrote the article Mohamad Sabu hina pejuang, anggap pengganas komunis hero sebenar Bukit Kepong (Mohamad Sabu insults fighters, regards communist terrorists as true heroes of Bukit Kepong), based on a video recording of Mat Sabu's speech he received from an Utusan Malaysia reader on Aug 26, 2011, five days after the speech was made on Aug 21, 2011.
