Five senior Customs officers charged with 24 counts of bribery


KUALA LUMPUR: Five senior Customs officers have been charged in three Sessions Courts here with 24 counts of accepting bribes totalling RM76,000 under the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 and the Penal Code over the smuggling of liquor to avoid duties.

They were charged before Sessions Court judges Allaudeen Ismail, Mohd Nasir Nordin and Rosbiahanin Arifin on Monday.
