KOTA KINABALU: A continuous threat posed by southern Philippines-based kidnap for ransom groups is prompting Malaysian security forces to extend a sea curfew along Sabah’s east coast.
Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Jalaluddin Abd Rahman said intelligence from Philippines’ authorities indicated that kidnap groups were poised to strike the state’s east coast from border areas.
