KOTA TINGGI: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has requested the Government to allow more of its enforcement officers to be equipped with firearms.
Currently, the department has about 8,000 enforcement officers nationwide, with 1,300 of them licensed to carry a gun, said JPJ deputy director-general Datuk Yusoff Ayob.
