Father of Perak MCA chief Dr Mah dies

IPOH: Mah Chow Nam, father of Perak MCA chairman Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon, passed away at his house in Changkat Kruing. He was 69.

Dr Mah said his father died after a heart attack at about 10am on Friday.

"He was his usual self in the morning and had ridden his motorcycle to town for breakfast.

"His passing came as a shock to us all," he said.

"I was in Temoh for my constituency work and I rushed home immediately after getting the news," he said adding that his father was a diabetic.

Chow Nam is survived by his wife Lee Kee Hiong, 70, six children and 12 grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at his home No. 204, Changkat Kruing in Ayer Tawar, on Sept 16.
