GEORGE TOWN: Five food factories here have been slapped with temporary closure orders after an inspection by health authorities found rat, lizard and even cat droppings in raw ingredients.
The factories issued notices to close for 14 days were a soy sauce factory in Jelutong, a noodle factory in Kepala Batas and three factories producing bread, fried onions and potato chips in Bukit Mertajam.
