Attend rally to support law lecturer Azmi, UM students urged

KUALA LUMPUR: The students’ association of Universiti Malaya has urged all students on the campus to skip classes tomorrow to attend a rally in support of law lecturer Azmi Sharom, who faces charges under the Sedition Act.

Universiti Malaya Students Asso­ciation (PMUM) president Fahmi Zainol, 23, said that all students should join hands to send the message that they oppose “injustice against academic freedom”.
