Penang govt halts PPS operations amidst controversy


GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Voluntary Patrol Unit (PPS) has ceased operations and will await the outcome of legal recourse into the controversy over its legality.

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said PPS members would be “rested” from carrying out voluntary work and will not be wearing their uniforms.
