Pakatan parties in an impasse after by-election candidate talks


KOTA BARU: Talks between PAS and PKR over the candidacy for the Pengkalan Kubor by-election later this month resulted in a stalemate.

At the end of the two-hour meeting on Monday between Kelantan PAS Deputy Commisioner I Datuk Mohd Amar Abdullah and state PKR chief Abdul Aziz Kadir, both sides agreed that the best way out of the impasse is to leave the decision to the Pakatan Rakyat presidential council. Mohd Amar, who is Kelantan deputy mentri besar, said:
