KUCHING: Sarawak plans to involve the Penan community who are still living in the interior, in bamboo planting and the handicraft industry.
State Tourism Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg said settlements such as those at Long Banga and Long Kevok in the district of Baram in northern Sarawak have been identified as suitable areas for planting bamboo.
