Selangor MB crisis: Q&A with Khalid Ibrahim

SHAH ALAM: Embattled Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim (pic) hopes that once the crisis in the state is resolved, lawmakers will get on with the task of running the state. “The intention is just to not have me as MB. And if I am no more the MB, I hope we will be talking about running the state,” he told The Star.

Did Tuanku reject Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah (PKR president) as the new Mentri Besar?
No, actually Tuanku requested that the leader of every component party in Pakatan Rakyat – because Pakatan is not one group but three groups – to send in more than two names. They can send two or three names each but not more than four. This is the practice carried out by the palace not only during Pakatan Rakyat’s time but also when Barisan Nasional submitted names for the mentri besar’s position.
