Khalid Samad denies sedition charge

KUALA LUMPUR: Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad (pix) was charged in the Sessions Court here on Tuesday to making seditious statements regarding the Selangor Islamic Religious Council (Mais) and the Selangor Sultan.

Khalid, 57, claimed trial to uttering seditious statements during a press conference in the Parliament Building, on Jalan Parliament, here, at 11.30am on June 17.
