A-G to take over proceedings in alleged 'plagiarised' judgment case

PUTRAJAYA: The Federal Court has allowed the Attorney-General (A-G) to take over contempt of court proceedings against lawyer Datuk V.K. Lingam and 24 others for alleging a panel of three judges plagiarised their judgment in a civil case after the original applicants withdrew from the case.

Federal Court judge Justice Suriyadi Halim Omar, who chaired a five-man panel, allowed an application by two liquidators, represented by lawyer Lim Chee Wee, to withdraw from commencing the committal (contempt of court) proceedings against Lingam and 24 others.
