Ustaz in ‘curry powder’ controversy apologises over offensive remarks

BUKIT MERTAJAM: The ustaz who is alleged to have insulted Hinduism in a ceramah at a surau in Shah Alam five years ago has apologised for his remarks.

“I openly apologise in front of everyone, especially to the Indian community and all parties involved over my words during a speech I made at a ceramah which was considered offensive and insulting to the feelings of the Indian community,” said Ustaz Shahul Hamid Seeni Muhammad Thursday.
