GEORGE TOWN: The Welfare Department is on a recruitment drive for those with social work, counselling and social science background.
Women, Family and Community Development Deputy Minister Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun said Welfare Department officers working on a contract basis would also be recruited as the department’s permanent staff if they meet the requirements set by the Public Services Department.
