He said in a brief statement on Sunday that Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim knew of the move to replace him since March and the name of PKR president, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Ismail, was officially put forward as his replacement at last week's meeting of the Pakatan Rakyat presidential council.
Anwar said he believed that the spirit of consensus that exists in PR will continue in efforts to generate a sustainable economic growth for the people.
