Move to ensure bus drivers are fit to work

KUALA LUMPUR: Measures to ensure bus drivers are fit to work include stationing enforcement officers at 30 bus terminals nationwide and conducting urine tests to detect drug abuse, said Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.

“We are monitoring their health closely and making sure that they adhere to traffic laws and drive safely on the roads,” he said during a road safety campaign at the Sungai Besi toll plaza here yesterday in conjunction with the Hari Raya exodus.
